All-in-one WordPress toolkit: advanced security, maintenance mode, custom popups, redirects, 404 & activity logs, and much more.

== Description ==

WP Swiss Knife is an all-in-one toolkit for WordPress professionals. It bundles the tools you usually juggle across several plugins into a single, lightweight package:

* **Security hardening** – hide the WordPress version, block user enumeration, restrict XML-RPC and the REST API, protect sensitive files.
* **Login protection** – limit login attempts (anti-bruteforce), generic error messages, optional reCAPTCHA v3 on the WordPress login form, custom login URL.
* **Security headers** – HSTS, CSP, X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options and more.
* **Maintenance / offline mode** – a beautiful maintenance page with full control.
* **Popups & information banners** – build custom popups and site-wide banners.
* **Redirects & 404 logging** – manage redirects and monitor 404s.
* **Activity & security logs** – keep an eye on what happens on your site.
* **Email & phone protection**, SVG upload, image protection, and more.

WP Swiss Knife focuses on being fast, privacy-friendly and easy to use. The free plugin does not phone home.

= Premium monitoring (optional) =

An optional premium add-on, **WP Swiss Knife Pro**, connects your site to the [wpswissknife.com](https://wpswissknife.com) portal for uptime & health monitoring, remote updates, rollback and security auditing. The Pro add-on is entirely optional — every feature listed above is free.

== Installation ==

1. Upload the `wpswissknife` folder to `/wp-content/plugins/`, or install the plugin through the WordPress "Plugins" screen.
2. Activate the plugin through the "Plugins" screen in WordPress.
3. Open the "WP Swiss Knife" menu to configure the modules you need.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= Does the free plugin send any data to an external server? =

No. The free plugin does not phone home. Only the optional WP Swiss Knife Pro add-on communicates with the wpswissknife.com portal, and only after you connect a license.

= Is a license required? =

No. All the features of the free plugin work without any license. A license is only needed for the optional Pro monitoring add-on.
